Course Overview

The primary threat individuals encounter in outdoor survival scenarios is a lack of preparation. Therefore, this online course, featuring discussions with specialists on diverse elements of outdoor survival, offers valuable insights that will equip you to manage a wide range of situations you might face in the wilderness when assistance is not readily available.

A large range of pertinent topics are covered. Examples include handling encounters with all kinds of wildlife such as cougars, moose, elk, wolves, snakes and bears and key survival skills like shelter building, securing of drinking water and hypothermia prevention as well as preparing a survival kit. The entire content of the Bear Awareness course is embedded in this course.

Online Assessment

Students answer questions on the course material and are required to obtain a minimum passing mark of 80%. The student will have two additional opportunities to pass if required.

Completion Certificate

Following successful completion of this course, the student will have the opportunity to download and print a certificate of completion.
