
Hazard Identification, Assessment, and Control
Course Overview
This three “pillared” approach to hazards will help equip your workers with the information to better identify, assess and control hazards in the workplace. In addition to the topics outlined below, the difference between formal and field level hazard assessments is covered as well. With this knowledge, employees can be even more active in the reduction of hazards and potentially LTIs in the workplace.

This course contains 3.25 technical hours.
BCRSP
This course may be eligible for 0.3 CEUs for Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) – Continuing Professional Development Program (CPD Program) for the purpose of recertification in maintaining the BCRSP certification. See the BCRSP website at www.bcrsp.ca for CPD point criteria.
WWOC Program
Water and Wastewater Operators’ Certification Program (WWOC Program) approved 0.3 CEUs to apply to Operators practicing under the WWOC Program. See www.alberta.ca/water-wastewater-operator-certification.aspx for the Alberta Water and Wastewater Operators’ Certification Guidelines.

Online Assessment
Students answer questions on the course material and are required to obtain a minimum passing mark of 80%. The student will have two additional opportunities to pass if required.
Completion Certificate
Following successful completion of this course, the student will have the opportunity to download and print a certificate of completion.
